FAQ

Our Matcha

What makes your ceremonial matcha different?

Ceremonial matcha is the highest grade of matcha, specifically produced to be drunk pure. It is exclusively made from the first spring harvest. Because only the youngest leaves are used, the texture is finer, the color is bright green, and the bitter aftertaste that characterizes regular (culinary) matcha is absent.

Where does your matcha come from?

Our matcha comes from the Aichi tea region, Japan. This region is among the most renowned tea-producing areas in the country. By exclusively collaborating with local tea farmers from Aichi, we guarantee an authentic quality product.

Is your matcha organic?

Yes. Our ceremonial matcha is 100% organic. The tea bushes are grown naturally, without the use of chemical additives and pesticides.

Does your matcha taste bitter?

No. A bitter aftertaste is characteristic of a lower grade (culinary) matcha.
Our matcha is characterized by a smooth and slightly sweet taste.

Does matcha contain caffeine?

Yes, matcha naturally contains caffeine. However, matcha also contains the amino acid L-theanine. This combination ensures that the caffeine is absorbed gradually by the body. This results in a stable and long-lasting energy boost, without the 'crash' often associated with coffee.

How long does matcha stay fresh?

Unopened, the matcha can be stored until the date on the packaging. After opening, we recommend consuming the tea within one to two months to maintain optimal color, taste, and nutrients. Store the matcha in a dry, cool, and dark place.

What are the health benefits of matcha?

Matcha is a purely natural product. Because you consume the entire tea leaf, the absorption of nutrients is higher than with regular tea. The powder is a rich source of L-theanine, vitamin C, and vitamin K. These nutrients support the immune system and contribute to radiant skin.
